Southington has eight public elementary schools, two public middle schools, and one public high school. In addition, there is one Catholic school serving grades Pre-K 3 to 8 and one Baptist school serving grades Pre-K to 8 which both attract students from multiple towns. 

In 2013-14, Southington began it's first year of offering full day kindergarten to public school kindergartners. Prior to this, Southington's public schools had only offered a half day option -- morning K or afternoon K. However, the Catholic School had offered and continues to offer a full day kindergarten. The ECCS will look at ways to partner with the SPS to evaluate what success all day K has had on the experience of kindergarten students.
