Story Behind the Curve
According to the Connecticut School Health Survey of high school students, the percentage of students who responded that they seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year had remained relatively stable over the last decade, but since 2012 the rate has dropped slightly to 13.5%. The Healthy CT 2020 objective is to reduce this rate by 20%. Updated as of 6/24/2020. New data update expected by April 2022 (Survey is implemented every 2 years).
