Story Behind the Curve
Immunization rates for Connecticut teens are above national goals. Results from the CDC’s 2014 National Immunization Survey-Teen (NIS-Teen) show that 94.8% of adolescents age 13-17 years in Connecticut received a dose of Tdap vaccine, with large increases over the past five years. The 2014 U.S. rate was 87.6%, the Healthy People 2020 goal is 80%, and the Healthy Connecticut 2020 goal is 93.8%. Confidence intervals can be seen by hovering over each data point.

Use new and existing data systems to measure vaccine coverage among populations to identify disparities and target vaccine strategies.
