In 2011 Tahoe Forest Hospital District (TFHD) commissioned a Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) study among its adult community using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) BRFSS tool. The BRFSS is a national initiative, headed by the CDC that assesses the health status and risk factors among U.S. citizens.
This indicator tracks the Body Mass Index (BMI) of respondents, rating them either Overweight, Obese, or neither Overweight nor Obese.
