What is this about?
The Retail Prices Index (RPI) is the main measure of inflation in Jersey. It measures the average change in prices of goods and services purchased by households and is sometimes referred to as the 'cost of living'. This indicator measures the average annual change in the RPI indexed to 2013 (100) to evidence the change over time.
In 2021, the average Retail Prices Index (RPI) for Jersey increased from 116.1 to 119.3. This was the fourth year in a row in which the annual average increased by more than three points.
