What is this about?
Anxiety is widely used as an indicator of mental well-being. Local data is collected using the Jersey Opinions and Lifestyle Survey which surveys a representative sample of adults in Jersey. Respondents are asked 'Overall, how anxious did you feel yesterday?' and can choose from a range from 0, being not at all, to 10, being completely. This indicator tracks the proportion of respondents who rate their levels of anxiety as high (a score between 6 to 10).
In 2022 over a quarter of Jersey adults scored their level of anxiety as high, whilst 56% of Jersey adults reported low or very low levels.
