Many of the households served by UWSC partner agencies earn less than this median income, thus they would be paying a larger percentage of their income in childcare expenses. Furthermore, a number of these households must pay childcare costs for more than one child. As a result, this % must be understood as an underestimation of the costs of childcare for many Story County families.
