Story Behind the Curve
The data reported by our funded partners typically includes children funded through ASSET's sliding fee scale dollars, as well as through other financial assistance programs (such as Department of Human Services childcare assistance, Iowa State University campus grants). This is one measure of the number of children from underserved populations who are able to access high-quality childcare in Story County.
* Please note: the number of families may be slightly lower than reported as some families may have more than one child in childcare. (Most partners currently report on number of children receiving childcare assistance to subsidize their fees, not the number of families.)
