Story Behind the Curve
Public drinking water is regulated by both state and federal rules and must meet health based drinking water standards. Common reasons for health-based non-compliance include detections of pathogens (E.coli), and detections of naturally occuring (ex.arsenic and radionucludes) or human introduced contaminant (ex. disinfection by-products) in concentrations over the established standard.
