Story Behind the Curve
The "Travel-weighted average condition" measure, after a minor decline in 2020, is once again consistent with the benchmark of 70. The "% of miles in Very Poor Condition" measure has improved significantly in the past year after a long period of consistently exceeding the benchmark. These measures, combined, show VTrans ability to not only maintain high-quality infrastructure for Vermonter's, but to continually improve upon those standards.

Pavement performance is also tracked using a metric for "% of miles in Very Poor Condition below 25.
