Total Number of Low Threshold Treatment Options
Current Value
49
Definition
The total number of low threshold treatment options.
Agencies included in data: DeLIVER, SFAF, SFCHC, Street Medicine, OTOP, HR360
Why Is This Important?
Our priority populations often experience barriers in receiving treatment and care, including experiencing social isolation, discrimination, and competing priorities. Low-barrier treatment options are pivotal in treating patients who don't want to or can't engage in the standard medical model and they break down barriers so clients feel welcome and safe to access timely, quality services. An upward trend in this curve is desirable as it would mean we have added more points of access to low-threshold HCV treatment.

Description of data: The number of physical locations that offer low-threshold hep C treatment options at non-clinical settings (e.g., primary care, specialty care, clinics, etc.). Low-threshold options can include vans, drop-in sites, navigation centers, but essentially they are any physical location that provides hep C treatment not in a doctor's office.
