Story Behind the Curve
A decrease in program participants is similar to the reduction in the number of teens who are pregnant in Lee County. Participants can inculde both the mother and father of the child.
Partners

What Works
Partnership for Children and Famlies currently provides several efforts within the communiy to address teen pregnancy.
Adolescent Parenting Program (AP2) goals:
"Increase self-sufficiency outcomes for participants by increasing the delay of a subsequent pregnancy and increasing graduation from high school with diploma or completion of GED.
Improve child welfare and school readiness outcomes for the children of participants by increasing positive parenting practices to support their child’s cognitive development and mental health and increasing incidence of child’s physical well-being by establishing a medical home and creating a safe home environment." As reported in June 2023 - all current participants of AP2 who were scheduled to graduate high school received their diploma.
