Story Behind the Curve
Initially, LCHD planned to attend the Sanford Farmers Market on the last Saturday of the month. Unfortunately, rain showers canceled some of the dates. In the future, LCHD plans to attend the markets more frequently depending on staff availability. Note: Sanford Farmers Market is seasonal and only open part of the year.

Health education staff can engage with a variety of people from different backgrounds at the Sanford Farmer's Market. Health education staff distributes flyers about health department services and programs and can help answer any questions the community may have. Attendance at the SFM is one method to increase awareness of the health department resources.
