Story Behind the Curve: Journey Ministry Food Pantry  

• The Journey Ministry Pantry began serving the Franklin County Community on June 28th, 2022.

• They have seen an upward trend in the number of individuals they have served each month as they have slowly grown their operation over the past year and a half.    

• The Journey Ministry Pantry strives to provide anyone who needs assistance with nutritious food, however, they do occasionally have to turn people away once they have distributed their limited supply of food each week. Therefore, the data does not truly reflect the demand for their services.  

• Lastly, the typical racial breakdown of the population they serve are African American, followed by Whites, and then Hispanics.
