The Community Care Clinic of Dare became the Syringe Services Program provider for Dare County in 2021. After the Community Care Clinic of Dare took over leadership for the program, services began to increase. Moving the program to the Community Care Clinic of Dare was the best choice as it provided a more central location and paid staff to implement the program.

Steady leadership and weekly hours support program consistency, thereby increasing participation. The programs relocation to Nags Head places it in a more central area, allowing an increase in access for program participants.

Continue to provide program through Community Care Clinic of Dare. Increase outreach and education ont he program. Look into opportunities to expand services at this location.
