Data Discussion
Unless otherwise specified, any missing data is either because there are no individuals who identify with the race/ethnicity or the data is suppressed to protect privacy. The race/ethnicity groups included in the indicator are as written in the original data source. Data for this indicator are calculated based off data from the YRBS. It is the sum of the youth who responded to the question "During the past 30 days, where did you usually sleep?" with the following answers: shelter or emergency housing; motel or hotel; car, park campground; no usual place to sleep; somewhere else. Survey is conducted every 2 years with 2018 being the first year with this question asked. Due to COVID-19, the survey was not administered in 2020.
