Description: Variable trend. The percent of motor vehicle fatalities in Arkansas that were caused by alcohol-impared driving (blood alcohol level ≥ 0.8) has been variable over the past decade. In 2012, the percent was 25.7%, increasing to 28.9% in 2014 and 2015, before decreasing to 23.3% in 2016, followed by an increase to 27.8% in 2017. By 2020, the percent of motor vehicle fatalities that were caused by alcohol-impared driving had decreased to 26.7%.
