Data Description and Source

Description:  The number of children, reported to the Arkansas Department of Health, that had blood lead levels above acceptable limits (5 ug/dL) has varied throughout the years.  Between the 2009-2013 period an averege of 158 cases were reported annually.  The 5-year average number of cases reported reach a high of 212 between the 2014-2018 period, before falling to 147 during the 2017-2021 period.  In the most recent 5 year period (2018-2022), 169 cases were reported on average to the Arkansas Department of Health.
