Description: Variable trend. The percent of high school students that were physically active every day during the previous week has been varied over the last decade.  In 2013, 27.5% of high school students were physically active on a daily basis, this increased to 28.6% in 2015, before dropping to 21.4% in 2017, then rising to 25.6% by 2021.

Source: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBS).

Notes: Crude prevalence of responses is reported.  Survey is conducted among randomly selected public high school students (grades 9 to 12).
