Data Description and Source

Description:  Negative trend.  The percent of school age children (K-12) that were obese increased from 20.2% in the 2012-2013 school year to 26.1% in the 2020-2021 school year, before decreasing to 25.5% in 2021-2022 school year.

Notes: All public school children in grades K, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 are measures for BMI each year.
