Story Behind the Curve
This measure is important because DRS uses this measure to evaluate the performance of the division and how effectively it completes work and provides accurate and timely rates to the PNMI providers in Vermont.
The timing of the desk review findings is important to limit the amount of rebilling the providers have to do, which is an administrative burden on the provider. The data shows how effectively and timely the division is completing the audits of the funding applications submitted annually by each of the 12 PNMI providers. The funding application is a summary report of the programs costs, which the Division uses the resulting data of each audit to set a Medicaid rate for the providers.
