Story Behind the Curve
Naloxone distribution & training on administration is vital to reducing overdose deaths. To evaluate the effectiveness of naloxone distribution, programs distributing naloxone are encouraged to ask program participants if they used a naloxone kit from previous encounters to reverse an overdose. Family and friends are most likely to be nearby during an overdose. By providing access to naloxone, capacity to reverse an overdose is increased.

- Ask individuals receiving naloxone kits if they successfully reversed an overdose with a kit previously received from program
