This is a measure provided annually at the end of the state fiscal year by the Department of Human Resource Managment. Turnover is defined as the total number of separations divided by the average employee count during a 12 month period.
Story Behind the Curve
This number has trended downward since initial tracking began for fiscal year 2022. There were staffing challenges related to hiring and retention during the COVID pandemic and with that no longer a concerns and hybrid work expectations established, turnover has trended downward.
