Data Description and Source
Description: Negative trend. The Years of Potential Life Lost (YPLL) before age 75 for all causes of death increased from 9,068 per 100,000 population in 2011 to 9,750 per 100,000 population in 2019.
Source: Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, County Health Rankings & Roadmaps.
Notes: YPLL measures the rate and distribution of premature death, rather than overall death. Total YPLL before age 75 is calculated using the latest 3 years of death data and the population for the same period. The numbers are adjusted for age and can be compared to other locations or time periods with different population sizes and distributions. The year displayed is the middle year (i.e. 2018, for the 3 year range of 2017-2019), not the year of the report.
