Description: Overall positive trend for Arkansas.  The age-adjusted mortality rate for cancer in Arkansas has decreased from 189.0 per 100,000 population in 2012 to 168.2 per 100,000 population in 2021.

Compared to the 2012 baseline, cancer mortality rates for both non-Hispanic Whites and non-Hispanic Blacks generally decreased in Arkansas. However, Blacks have higher cancer mortality rates than Whites, and men have higher rates than women, which is similar to the heart disease trend.
