Description: Negative or variable trend. Overall chronic lung disease mortality rates in Arkansas have been variable over the past decade.  Between 2012 and 2017, the overall chronic lung disease mortality rate increased from 55.8 to 66.7, before decreasing to 61.5 by 2021.

Chronic lung disease mortality rates in Arkansas have consistently increased among all race and gender categories, except for black males. Whites have higher mortality rates than blacks in Arkansas. Men have higher mortality rates than women, no matter their race, which is similar to the heart disease and cancer trends.
