Data Description and Source

Description: Variable but generally negative trend. Chronic lung disease mortality among non-Hispanic Black males decreased from 41.7 per 100,000 population in 2012 to 33.6 per 100,000 in 2015.  This rate then increased to 51.8 in 2017.  In 2021, the chronic lung disease mortality rate among non-Hispanic Black males had decreased to 42.3 per 100,000 population.
