Description: Negative trend. In the past seven years, Hepatitis C infection among those Arkansans who misused drugs decreased from 115,9 per 100,000 population to 78.0 per 100,000 population. The rate decreased much faster after 2018. Between 2016 and 2018, it remained fairly stable, decreasing only slightly from 115.9 to 114.6 per 100,000 population.  However, from 2018 to 2022, it decreased from 114.6 to 78.0 per 100,000.

Notes: Crude rates are shown.  Rates are per 100,000 population.  Hospitalization cases were counted if the patient had any diagnosis of drug use (ICD-10 codes F10-F19) and any diagnosis of Hepatitis C (ICD-10 codes B17.1, B18.2, B19.2)
