Description: Positive trend. The overall smoking rate in Arkansas decreased between 2011 and 2022, from 27.5% of the adult population to 19.3%.
Compared to the 2011 baseline, smoking prevalence rates decreased among all race/ethnic groups in 2022. The 2022 smoking rates were 18.6% for non-Hispanic Whites, 19.9% for non-Hispanic Blacks, and 11.5% for Hispanics.
