Data Description and Source
Description: Variable trend. The percent of Hispanic adults that have reported they are obese has been variable over the past decade, likely due to the small number of respondents in this group. Between 2011 and 2013, the obesity rate jumpped from 18.5% to 42.5%, before steadily decreasing through 2017 to 28.5%. This rate then jumped again to37.9% in 2018, dropped to 31.1% in 2019, returned to 35.9% by 2021, and ended with 30.3% in 2022.
