Story Behind the Curve
This program was developed and implemented in September of 2023 and presented at Sulphur Springs Baptist church in order to increase awareness about the dangers of SUD and addiction and present the faith-based community with accessible resources. The program was presented at East Taylorsville Baptist church, and then translated and presented to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in 2023. In 2024 the program was updated and presented at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Antioch Baptist Church, 1st Baptist Church, and the Rotary Club. Alexander County Health Department shifted focus in June 2024 to work on Detect & Reflect.

What Works
Immediate feedback from church members and leaders, as well as distribution of the feedback to SUD Coalition in order to make necessary changes and updates.
Action Plan
Continue to update program monthly, and repeatedly educate the faith based community in order to reach parents, caregivers, and children on the dnagers of substances.
