The 2018 decrease may be attributed to a decrease in number of participating libraries monitoring this statistic. This number only reflects the number of minutes read in the Summer Reading Programs sponsored by Sandhills Regional Library and the Southern Pines Public Library.
The 2015 numbers show a decrease because the Sandhills Region (Moore County Library) only counted the minutes that the participants logged online, and some patrons still used the paper forms--their minutes were not tabulated.
