Macomb County Health Department Public Health Nurses (PHN)provide home visits to pregnant women and families of infants and young children.  The goal is to promote healthy pregnancies, babies, and children, with an emphasis on children who are at risk for developmental delay due to a medical diagnosis.  Assessments are performed and education is provided on a variety of health and parenting topics with information on needed resources.  

MCHD has 8 public health nurses on staff at 2 different locations to reach all Macomb County communities.
