The Macomb County Health Department provides flu vaccine through in-house clinic visits or off site flu outreach clinics. Clinic staff aim to provide 10 outreach flu clinics per calendar year to help reach the diverse population of Macomb County and improve flu vaccination rates. In 2017, MCHD administered 7,375 flu shots through in-house and outreach clinics.
In 2017, MCHD offered Hepatitis A/Flu vaccine outreach clinics in response to the Hepatitis A outbreak. There were 9 "flu only" outreaches and 11 "flu/Hepatitis A" outreaches bringing the yearly total to 20 outreaches with flu vaccine available.
