This performance measure is important because we need to track the performance of meeting our federal and state reporting initiatives completed on time.

As a support entity within the department responsible for the development of information resources required for effective policy making, planning, regulation and evaluation for the state’s Medicaid program, it is important to know how often the Data Unit is asked and relied on to provide data extracts to contractors and vendors working on behalf of the department and provide required reporting to federal and state partners to support ongoing policy development and implementation of Medicaid programs.  The data unit is always looking at ways to further streamline processes and extracts to make sure the data is delivered on time in an accurate method.

The data is showing the amount of extracts the data unit is producing monthly for our state and federal partners. The trendline should be staying at 100% to meet our obligations to our partners.

Two reporting responsibilities scheduled for January 2022 were delayed until the following month due to a miscommunication related to the content and frequency of the reports.  The issue has been resolved for future reporting periods.

The drop seen in April 2022 was the result of delayed data transfers from source entities outside of DVHA. Two weekly reports and 2 monthly reports have been discontinued resulting in a lower number of required monthly reports.
