Story Behind the Curve

The methods used to collect this data have changed over time. Some programs rely on teacher assessments/feedback, while others rely on youth feedback - whichever is most stable.

August 2020 note: The big drop from FY18-19 to FY19-20 is due to the coronavirus pandemic. A number of programs were unable to conduct their typical annual surveys. In some cases, the denominator (kids served) stayed the same, resulting in an apparent drop in the % reporting positive relationship skills. - AM

August 2021 note: All Aboard for Kids' summer program did not operate in summer 2020 due to the pandemic, meaning they reported 0s for all measures in FY20-21.
