MCHD was awarded a grant in the amount of $294,000 from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to provide education regarding medical marijuana. During the months of July 2019 through December 2019 various media educational campaigns are taking place to bring awareness to Macomb County residents about medical marijuana. The focus of the campaign is safe product storage, dangers and impact of driving under the influence, and marijuana avoidance during pregnancy & breastfeeding. The campaign was facilitated via billboards, bus ads, radio and social media.
