Talbot County is experiencing high rates, 12.4%, of Disconnected Youth aged 16-24 years old who are neither in school nor working. In 2016 there has been a spike in the number of High School Drop Out and as we see in the graph above, a high rate of youth that are unemployed. For comparison, the current overall unemployment rate in Talbot County is 4.9%.
