Why Is This Important?
Oftentimes, toxic stress and trauma that co-occurs with poverty impact a child's development, particularly during the first three years of life. When young children experience a developmental delay, it is critical for it to be addressed early. An unaddressed developmental delay may have long term affects, and possibly impact school readiness.
