Baker College Low Cost Dental Hygiene Services
Appointments for low-cost dental hygiene services are available this spring at Baker College’s Center for Dental Hygiene Education. The care is provided by students in the associate degree dental hygiene program under the supervision of licensed dentists and hygienists. The center is open to all in the community; documentation of financial need is not required.

Comprehensive oral examinations with an oral cancer screening
Nutritional assessments X-rays - $20 - $30
Oral hygiene instructions
Dental cleanings – Adults $30, Children (Ages 3-14) $20
Periodontal scaling/root planning - $60
Application of fluoride - $5
Dental sealants - $10 per tooth
All services are free for Baker College students, faculty and staff. Payment is required at the time of treatment; insurance is not accepted. Additional patients are typically needed in the spring because second-year students need to complete graduation requirements and first-year students have advanced in their studies and require experience.

University of Michigan Dental School - Delta Dental Special Care Clinic
The U-M Special Care Clinic in Ann Arbor is now open and accepting new patients. The clinic provides care for patients ages 16 and up and is designed to accommodate patient care where standard dental operations can be challenging. This clinic has been designed to provide care for patients with the following types of conditions:
- Cerebral palsy, development/intellectual disabilities
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (mild to moderate)
- Acquired cognitive disabilities: dementia, Traumatic Brain Injury, progressive neuro logic disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease
- Physical disabilities that limit mobility, vision or hearing
- Chronic medical problems such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, renal failure, COPD
- Immunologically-mediated diseases such as Sjogren’s syndrome
- Chronic pain syndromes
