What is this about?
Andium Homes is a Government of Jersey owned company created in 2014 to provide dedicated, ring-fenced housing solutions. They provide landlord services for over 10,000 Islanders in over 4,500 affordable rental homes.
Historic underinvestment in social housing meant that, on the transfer to Andium, only 75% of the social housing stock met the Decent Homes Standard (a national benchmark). Furthermore, a condition survey in 2012 identified that, if a maintenance backlog was not addressed immediately, the proportion of homes meeting the Decent Homes Standard would fall over the next five years to 50%. This indicator tracks the progress of an extensive programme of refurbishment, which achieved the target of 100% compliance in 2019, a year ahead of the 2020 goal.
