This data is collected using the Jersey Opinions and Lifestyle Survey, which surveys a representative sample of adults in Jersey. Participants are asked 'How do you rate the range of the following leisure activities available in Jersey?' and can rate social and recreational activities (bars, restaurants, social clubs, etc) as very good, good, poor or very poor.

In 2022, 83% of respondents rated Jersey's range of social and recreational activities as good (58%) or very good (25%). This is consistent with the findings in 2013 and 2017. Given the high overall rating, the real opportunity for improvement lies in shifting the proportion of people who rate the social and recreational activities in Jersey as very good from its current level of 25%. In general, a smaller percentage of 16 to 34 year olds rated the leisure activities offered in Jersey as good or very good compared to older age groups.
