What is this about?
This indicator tracks the net financial assets in the States of Jersey core funds. A large proportion of these assets are held in ‘special funds’, with the largest of these being the Strategic Reserve and the combined Social Security funds. The indicator presented takes into account inflation to allow comparison over time.
The net financial assets in the States core funds in 2020 amounted to £3,609 million.
Most of the financial reserves are held for the long term and the majority are invested accordingly in the Common Investment Fund (CIF).
