Story Behind the Curve
FY25: HFY1: The majority of MST EA-clients were referred from the Baltimore County Department of Social Services followed by the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services. HFY2: During the second half of FY 25, seven new clients who initiated services in FY 24 transitioned into FY 25 HFY2. Four clients transitioned from HFY1 into HFY2/ Twelve clients completed services during HFY2 and their outcomes are reflected on this HFY2 annual scorecard. Annual: The annual target number for youth served by a therapist MST-EA team is 30. During FY 25, 31 youth were served.
In FY22, the MST-EA team consisted of a program supervisor and 2 therapists. In December of 2021, the program supervisor resigned. In January of 2022, one of the MST-EA therapists was promoted to the program supervisor position leaving the team with the remaining therapist carrying a full case load (3-4 cases) and the program supervisor carrying a case load of 2. This reduced the total number of youth/young adults served in FY22. The vacant therapist position was filled in June, 2022. After training, the new therapist will be assigned a case load gradually totaling 3-4 clients.

What Works
The MST-EA team supervisor is responsible for maintaining an active connection with all program referral sources. The supervisor communicates with referral sources often and provides MST-EA orientation sessions so that new referral source staff are fully aware of the resource.
