This program has shown an excellent retention rate by keeping youth involved and listening to what their interests are as well as helping them problem solve whether it is a social, personal or educational problem.

Throughout the year the program consistently partnered with: Caroline County Health Department, Chesapeake College,. Mid-Shore Behavioral Health, Wraparound MD, Federalsburg Lions Club, Town of Denton, Shore United Health, Knights of Columbus, Caroline County Public Schools, Caroline County Council of Arts and Chesapeake Culinary Center.
What Works
Mentoring is an on-going program. Several mentors have remained with the same mentees from elementary school through high school and remain in touch after high school.

Mentoring is an on-going program that continues as long as the mentor and mentee want to continue the relationship. As the program transitions from one to one mentoring to a group format number of mentees served by the program will increase in FY23. It is anticipated that the same mentees served in the one to one mentoring program will transition to the new group format as well as new youth joining the program.
