FY22

No youth have been referred to Juvenile Services while in the program.  The mentors have a close relationship with the mentees and the mentees understand the importance of their education and staying out of trouble in the community and school therefore no youth are being referred to Juvenile Services while in the program. 

Partners

Throughout the year the program consistently partnered with:  Caroline County Health Department, Chesapeake College,. Mid-Shore Behavioral Health, Wraparound MD, Federalsburg Lions Club Town of Denton, Shore United Health, Knights of Columbus, Caroline County Public Schools and Caroline County Council of Arts.  The Caroline County Commissioners saw the value in the program and funding was added to their annual budget to support the program. 

What Works

FY22

The mentees served in the program are at risk youth.  The mentors keep a close eye on the behaviors, school performance and well being of their mentees which results in the youth not being referred to DJS.

Data Discussion

FY22

The data shows that 100% of the youth in this program are not being referred to DJS while in the Men for Change Program.  The mentors go to the school and make sure the youth are doing well in their classes as well as making sure youth are doing well outside of school.
