The Suicide mortality rate in Wake County was 11.6 individuals per 100,000 residents in Wake County. Since 2014, the suicide mortality rate has decreased in Wake County to 8.9 individuals per 100,000 residents in Wake County. However, in 2019 the suicide mortality rate climbed back to 11.6 per 100,000 residents. Important to keep in mind, Wake County and several local news stations released an announcement of the county reaching 1 million residents in August of 2014. In 2020, Wake County published a presentation highlighting the county's population at 1,129,410.
