Story Behind the Curve
The increased confidence data come from administering a pre and post test to class participants. While this is an accurate way to measure what confidence in behavior change is gained from the class, it is a common occurance for participants to arrive late and/or leave early from the class. When this happens, these class participants miss the opportunity to take either the pre or post test, thus resulting in data that cannot be counted for this measure.
The disparity in data in December 2024 from the number of the participants attending and the number of participants reporting a change in knowledge levels stemmed from a large class that were unable to complete surveys due to unexpected circumstances (Large quantities of food delivered in a time sensitive matter to a food bank). However, the program was delivered in the best possible format given the circumstances.
