Social media is one of the most common outlets for communication. The Onslow County health Department utilizes four social media platforms to push out content covering preventative screenings available throughout the community, Health Department Services, health observances, healthy living tips, current events, and more.

Story Behind the Curve
As the digital era continues to flow with data and information, people continue joining online platforms and social media. This in addition to the transient community of Onslow County, allows for the continual growth of our Social Media Platforms due to incoming community members seeking information and updates from OCHD.
We notice a slight decline in Twitter ("X") followers as we continue. This could be due to Twitter being under new management and more users engaging less on the Platform or stopping using it altogether.
