Story Behind the Curve

Each Diabetes Prevention Program cohort is different. Some participants are more motivated to reach their weight loss goal than others. Life challenges also impact  participant outcomes. The decline in the percentage of participants completing DPP, who met or exceeded their weight loss goal in 2024 and 2025, can be attributed to several participants having a challenge with motivation.  Several other participants were very dedicated to the program and lifestyle change, but just did not have the weight loss outcome they wanted. However, they did see improvements in other aspects of their health and well-being.
